International Camp in Mexico January 2024!
REGARDING WASHINGTON CAMP:
WA NVC FAMILY CAMP 2023!
Family Camp is growing and changing before our eyes!
We had a great time at reunion camp last year, and are starting to feel more stable around covid concerns and strategies. In conjunction with a longing for deeper connection, learning, community, and service, this year we are planning to run a camp of similar structure and function to the pre-pandemic Vashon camps!
We will continue to offer a community sourced program where both staff and campers contribute to creating a schedule of activities and sessions to support the community in living and learning NVC.
DATES AND LOCATION:
We have reserved the Retreat Center at Brooks Memorial State Park from July 20-26! We will meet with staff for training and pre-camp connection off-site on July 19th, as well as virtually in the weeks leading up to camp.
Additionally:
The retreat center has a fully furnished industrial kitchen!! We plan to have kitchen staff. Check out the website for all the details about campground rules and other awesome amenities.
COSTS:
Minimum of $500 per person over 1 year of age. If you give more it would support us supporting staff and campers even more.
Early Bird Tuition: $500 - $600 early bird (By May 1st) Deposit is $200,
Regular Tuition: $575 - $675 (After May 1st) Deposit $230.

COVID POLICY
STAFF:
If you’re interested in being on staff please email us at nvcfamilycamp@gmail.com.
We ask that staff have a higher level of NVC integration, which might look like:
- Involvement in living, sharing, knowing NVC in community over time.
- Ability to self-empathize, empathize, express honestly while caring for impact and awareness of how you’re holding internal and external power/rank/influence.
- Hosts and organizers having had an experience of the staff person having ability to be present with families while holding the needs of the whole camp and own needs with care.
- Involvement in community practicing NVC and Restorative processes where there is giving and receiving feedback.
- The ability, capacity and drive to contribute deeply to the service and needs of the camp community, and show up for commitments you have made, while proactively tending your needs while at camp.
We look forward to being in community again with you this summer! And if you know a family that hasn’t experienced NVC family camp before, and might be interested, please forward on this email.
