Ever wonder how the Family Camp Village becomes the Family Camp Village? Glad you asked!
It takes a village every summer to transform the mighty but humble hay fields of the Dolstad Farmstad into Family Camp, with tipis, Dance Halls, outdoor kitchen, dining room, compost toilets, sinks, workshop spaces, farm gardens...phew! And more!
We'd love your help!
If you'd like to get a jump on your Family Camp experience, join us and other Camp families & staff the weekend of Summer Soltsice. We'll be getting started SATURDAY morning and working through SUNDAY afternoon, stopping along the way for community potluck meals. If you want to make an overnight of it, bring your tent(s) or sleep in the yurt, Dance Hall, or in one of the tipis we'll be putting up that weekend. Youth are welcome of course, we'll have work for most every age.
Bring garden implements (shears & clippers for blackberries, hoes, weed wackers), work gloves, sun glasses, sun hat, sunscreen, water bottle, your sleeping and toiletry gear, layered clothing (rain gear if you have it), waterproof shoes or boots, and food to share for whatever meals you'll be joining. (you'll hear more about that when you RSVP).
